Judgement Day will be horrible!

Judgement Day will, amongst others, be a Q&A, where God will ask questions and we answer. Every single person who has ever lived will pass through this Q&A, and it will be the most horrible moment of everybody’s life. People who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour will learn that they could have done more, and for that they’ll be ashamed. God will hold believers accountable for non-believers’ blood like He said He would in Ezekiel 3:18. However God will be merciful and wipe away believers’ tears, sorrows and shame like He said He would in Revelations 7:17.

But it will be the most dreadful day for non-believers, their intelligence will be brought to the fore. They will be asked questions and God will expect answers. For people who claim God didn’t create the universe, God will be daring you: “Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me” (Job 38:3). Here are some of the questions He’ll asks you:

“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?

Who marked off its dimensions?

Who stretched a measuring line across it?

On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone?

“Who shut up the sea behind doors when it burst forth from the womb, when I made the clouds its garment and wrapped it in thick darkness, when I fixed limits for it and set its doors and bars in place, when I said, ‘This far you may come and no farther; here is where your proud waves halt’?

“Have you ever given orders to the morning, or shown the dawn its place, that it might take the earth by the edges and shake the wicked out of it?

“Have you journeyed to the springs of the sea or walked in the recesses of the deep?

Have the gates of death been shown to you?

Have you comprehended the vast expanses of the earth?

“What is the way to the abode of light? And where does darkness reside?

“Have you entered the storehouses of the snow or seen the storehouses of the hail?

What is the way to the place where the lightning is dispersed, or the place where the east winds are scattered over the earth?

Who cuts a channel for the torrents of rain, and a path for the thunderstorm?

Does the rain have a father? Who fathers the drops of dew?
Do you know the laws of the heavens?

Can you set up God’s dominion over the earth?

“Can you raise your voice to the clouds and cover yourself with a flood of water?

Do you send the lightning bolts on their way? Do they report to you, ‘Here we are’?

Who endowed the heart with wisdom or gave understanding to the mind?

Who has the wisdom to count the clouds?

Who can tip over the water jars of the heavens when the dust becomes hard and the clods of earth stick together?
– Job 38

God asked these questions to an ancient man called Job, and here’s what he said for himself: “I am unworthy—how can I reply to you? I put my hand over my mouth. I spoke once, but I have no answer— twice, but I will say no more.” (Job 40:4-5)

What would your answers be on that dreadful day? Darwin is not going to help you; he’ll have to answer them himself. However, there’s a way out, it’s by accepting Jesus as your Lord and saviour.

Sello, judgement day to me revolves around 1 key fact. Is it possible to FORCE someone to LOVE you? If you truely loved the other person would you EVER command them to love you?

I ask this as a key question, because if it is REQUIRED that we love god, then sure, god can ahead and punish me for not following a commandment, but, if it’s impossible to demand love from someone, then we have NO REQUIREMENT to love god, only that it is what god wishes.

Pleasing someone who loves you should always be a rewarding experience, but if you love someone, and they don’t please you, do you react with love or with hatred?

Sello, I fear dreadfully for your sanity.

I have extended the hand of friendship and in a very non-Christian was have ignored it.

With friendship I may be able to save you before your mind is damaged beyond all repair.

I am sincere in my wish to save your addled brain.

    “you” have ignored it.

Sello!? 🙂 you’ve been posting loads at ex-christian since I posted on here, so I know your about! Please answer my questions, I seek knowledge and you seem to be sure that you got something to say on the topic!

  5. God doesn’t force anyone to do anything, but He applies His justice fairly and as brutal as needed. He’s a fair judge and as such He won’t allow us to get away with lawlessness, like any other fair judge would. So we either obey His law and we won’t suffer from His judgements, or we disobey Him and face the consequences. All this doesn’t change His love for us, He’ll still love us even when we are in hell for all eternity.

  6. Freddie, I sent you mail 4 hours ago, so I’m not ignoring you.

“God doesn’t force anyone to do anything” – So when the bible states the 10 ‘commandments’ really it should have been ‘requests’ instead?

“He applies His justice fairly and as brutal as needed.” – love is never brutal, TRUE love forgives – 1 Corinthians 13:5 “It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, IT KEEPS NO RECORD OF WRONGS” – John 4:8 “He that loveth not, knoweth not God; for God is love.”

So love keeps no record of wrongs, and god is love… hmm… JUDGEMENT day? But he will have no record of my wrong doing?

“He’ll still love us even when we are in hell for all eternity.” – lol, are you listening to yourself!? How is he showing love by ALLOWING us to tortured for eternity??

Come on Sello, you have ‘the truth’ on your side, these questions should be easy to refute convincingly, you’ve just contradicted yourself thus far!

    • I have children and I smack them now and then, so does it mean I don’t love them?

      • inchtalla said

Maybe you smack your children now and then, Sello.

Do you consign them to an eternity of pain and suffering, with no possibility of remission and then declare to the whole of the universe that you still love them with a deep and infinite love?

      • inchtalla said

        Sello,

I have been waiting 7 hours now for a reply…

      • It’s easter, so I had church then tried to chill a bit. But I will reply to all your comments, as I have already done to one of them.

      • inchtalla said

        Where?

      • inchtalla said

And, do you consign them to hell for eternity, despite them being under-equipped to understand your demands upon them and still declare your undying, infinite love for them?

Your god does this to his children.

        Do you?

    “He says He would”

Correct me if I’m wrong: I thought the bible was written by man. To be more precise, the actual christian bible translation known to most of mankind (except perhaps some version in sanskrit hidden inside vatican’s safe) is a translation made by the order of politics in rome almost 30 years after the death of jesus, merely to take advantage of his preaching over people who cared for martyrs in that time (I mean, Jesus wasn’t the only one, you know… there where about thousands of martyrs in that geographical area before, alongside and after Jesus, true be said here: there are still martyrs these days in the middle east, who sacrifices their lifes for their causes and have banners with his faces and acts exposed all around many towns).

I don’t think god said anything to us in a book… but he tells us many things in our hearts, so, listen to him and stop being so ingenue about bible’s affirmation and follow your heart, because no man can distort your feelings, except if you read dubious words written by men with interest in a cause 2.000 years ago 😉

  9. You are wrong, but I’ll correct you in due course. In the few weeks I’ll write an article in historical account of the bible, and it would shock you. And I’ll quote historical figures who have credibility with regards to the bible, not some 20th century analysts who consider themselves better than our predecessors.

    • Katoblephas said

ok, so you are saying that bible wasn’t written by a man, and it wasn’t TOTALLY edited by Constantino and his crew in the Roman Empire? LOL

just say to me where is the HQ of “Jesus” church? in Belem? in Israel? in Jerusalem? nooo… it is in ROME

hahahaha you are so funny Sello, I’m looking forward to see your history distortion (don’t forget I have a degree in History, so careful with what you’ll say)

      thanks for making me laugh

Your posts here and elsewhere display a selective approach to history, its use and its production. We can already see how history is written by the victors and adapted for their benefit:

How many references do you see in the press today to the number of deaths caused either directly or indirectly by Mandela during his career as a terrorist? Definitions and justness of causes aside, the fact is that this man cirectly caused the deaths of innocent people (not pigs, as in the Legion episode) yet this fact seems to have been already air-bushed from history. 2,000 year from now, should the cult of Mandela still be flourishing, do you believe there will be extant references to his murderous activities and do you think those who attempt to remind Mandelians of the day of his crimes will receive the same, mindlessly devoted treatment we receive at your hands?

Interesting exposition, Sello, though more for the fact that it reveals that god has no answers, only questions.

Why, when he is omnipotent and omniscient, does he need to ask any of these question, other than expressing a deep-seated need to vent his cruel nature upon beings which are defenceless?

How can you live with yourself, giving respect to a being of the nature you your article describes? One must assume that your faculties of judgment have been so badly damaged by the indoctrination you have voluntarily undergone, that you are no longer able to recognize the gratuitous evil displayed by your god in the scenario you have described.

The fact that you have not felt able to answer the comment about Mandela, above mine, does indicate you are having difficulty with the concepts of right and wrong, though you are perhaps only a reflection of the god you follow.
