Is Jesus ever coming back again?

Scoffers – the bible’s name for those who ridicule the long awaited return of Jesus Christ, are convinced that Jesus is either not coming back in their lifetime or He’s not coming back at all. Infact more and more people are starting to believe that Jesus’ return is never ever going to happen, but they ignore a very important aspect about the coming of Jesus Christ.

Apostle Peter warning people against scoffers said: “you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.”(2 Peter 3:3-4). This is what people are saying these days; they don’t see any sign that indicate that Jesus Christ will ever come back again. They are convinced that just because life is going on as normal then it means Jesus return is improbable, if not impossible. To counter this argument, Jesus compared His return to the time of Noah’s flood, when Noah preached about the upcoming flood for 120 years before it happened. In all that time nobody believed Noah, and they all thought Noah was foolish to think that a world-wide flood could ever happen. As the bible says “people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away” (Matthew 24:37-39). Jesus was saying people would be so ignorant, and even arrogant, about his return until the day He returns.

Apostle Paul said “the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night”. One day it would be sunrise in Auckland while sunset in California, and Jesus Christ would return. The bible says “for as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man”. Both people in Auckland and California will see Jesus return at the same time, and there won’t be any time differences. It would be the scariest spectacle the world has ever seen, as it would be followed by the biggest earthquake the world has ever had. Jesus would be descending from heaven in full view of every living person, and people will tremble with fear. All theories we have about why we think Jesus can’t come back would be redundant, and there would be no place to hide from His appearance. It would be so terrible that people would wish to die, but it wouldn’t’ be possible to die. Explaining these phenomena, the bible says “During those days men will seek death, but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them” (Revelations 9:6). There won’t be authorities to call upon, as they themselves would be trying to rescue themselves. The bible says “Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and every free man hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?” (Revelations 6:15-17).

Let’s face it; you probably don’t believe all this mambo jumbo, and you are thinking there’s no way this is going to happen. There are people who are natural deniers of facts, so maybe you are one of those. But there is something that is going to happen in your lifetime that you can’t escape or deny. It affects 1 of out 1 person in the world, and its success rate is 100%. It’s called death, and you know it’s waiting for you. You see you might not see Jesus’ return in your lifetime, but its effects will affect you as much it would affect those who would be alive at the time. Jesus would be coming back to set up His Kingdom on earth, and judge the world of its sins. If you die without getting forgiveness of sins that is only found in Jesus, then you would be in a similarly worse situation as those who would be alive at His return. Jesus would judge you of your sins, and He will give you a just judgement as your sins deserved. And that judgement would be eternity in the lake of fire called hell.

You still think Jesus won’t come back? It doesn’t’ matter what you think, especially since you are certain to die. So whether you witness Jesus’ return or you die beforehand, the reality is you can’t run away from the judgement that Jesus would be returning to earth for. Are you going to repent and receive Jesus as your Lord and savior or you’d take your chances?

You have yet to establish that jesus has been here once, before you can ask if he will come again.

The is no reliable, non-forged evidence of the existence of the person you claim as your magic leader, and until you can find and present some, your question is moot.

    • Non-forged evidence? Who said evidence for historical existence of Jesus is forged?

Actually a 1st century Roman historian named Josephus documented Jesus’ existence and wrote that He indeed lived on eath. And josephus even stated that “He was the Christ.” Now put that in your scoffer’s pipe and smoke it.

Sello, you are still quoting words that are the rantings of miserable old men thousands of years ago.

There’s nothing factual about Jesus coming back. It won’t happen, trust me.

When I was a child I was afraid of ghosts and monsters but as I got older I got used to the idea that they don’t exist and now I don’t fear these things anymore. Likewise as our civilization becomes more psychologically and technically advanced we see less incredible miracles taking place – walking on water, parting seas, water into wine, god’s voice in burning bushes, coming back from the dead… I wonder why we don’t see spiritual beings creating miracles like this anymore. I am also wondering why god talked to us a long time ago but hasn’t recently. Also the son of god never returned as prophesized and yet things are ripe for the tribulation. Has god forsaken us or do you think that we or our civilization must be ignorant of science/mental health in order to be spiritually in tune with god?
